Q.01
How much do your tattoos cost?
Our minimum price is IDR 950,000 per person. Small tattoo package for simple fineline designs of 4x4 cm or smaller: 1 tattoo IDR 950,000, 2 tattoos IDR 1,400,000, 3 tattoos IDR 1,800,000, 4 tattoos IDR 2,300,000 (priced per person; shading, colour or detail beyond fineline is not included, and larger sizes are priced individually). Tattoos larger than 4x4 cm are priced per design, not per hour. Your artist confirms your quote before starting, with no hidden fees. The final price depends on size, detail and style.
Q.02
How do I book a tattoo?
Send us a message with the Book button and we will direct you to WhatsApp, Instagram or Facebook. Tell us your idea and we will give honest feedback on your design, introduce you to artists suited to your style, advise on size and placement, and help refine the design so it fits your body and style. Once everything feels right, your artist confirms your booking. A 30% deposit secures your slot.
Q.03
How much is the deposit, and is it refundable?
Every appointment needs a deposit of 30% of the tattoo price (full-day sessions may be 30% per day). You can pay by bank transfer, or by cash or card in the studio. Deposits are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another person. You can move your appointment once with at least 72 hours notice and keep your deposit, as long as you rebook within 7 days.
Q.04
Do you accept walk-in tattoos?
Yes. Mason's Ink Tattoo Studio is open daily from 09:00 to 22:00. Walk-in availability depends on how busy the studio is. If an artist is free, we can tattoo you right away. To avoid waiting, we recommend messaging us or booking in advance.
Q.05
Where are your studios?
We have two studios in Bali, a few minutes apart on the same road. Mason's Ink Kerobokan is at Jl. Raya Kerobokan No.120, Kerobokan Kelod, Kuta Utara. Mason's Ink Raya Taman is at Jl. Raya Basangkasa No.99, Seminyak. Both are easy to reach from Seminyak, Canggu, Kuta and Legian.
Q.06
Does getting a tattoo hurt?
It depends mostly on where it goes. Most people describe a scratching or stinging feeling. Areas with more muscle or fat, like the outer arm, forearm and thigh, are usually easier. Bony or thin-skinned areas, like the ribs, spine, feet and hands, are usually more sensitive. Our tattoo pain chart guide explains each placement, and your artist will take breaks whenever you need them.
Q.07
Do you do fine-line tattoos?
Absolutely. Fine-line tattoos are one of our most requested styles. Our studio hosts 11 independent artists who specialise in fine-line work, so you can always book someone who does it every day. We are also honest about what will age well long-term. Send us your idea and we will tell you exactly how we would approach it.
Q.08
What are your opening hours?
Both studios are open every day from 09:00 to 22:00, including weekends. Message us on WhatsApp to book a time, or walk in and we will fit you in if an artist is free.
Q.09
Why should I choose Mason's Ink Tattoo Studio?
We don't claim to be "the best" for everyone, because the best tattoo studio depends on your style, your budget, and what you expect from the experience. What we do guarantee is clean, high-quality work, a safe and professional studio, transparent pricing, and artists who genuinely listen to what you want. We respect your ideas, your time, and your money.
Q.10
What should I do in the first 24 hours after getting a tattoo?
Leave the protective bandage on for the time your artist specifies, typically a few hours. Then gently wash the tattoo with lukewarm water and mild, fragrance-free soap, pat it dry with a clean paper towel without rubbing, and apply a thin layer of tattoo balm. Avoid direct sunlight, excessive moisture and rough clothing.
Q.11
How long after a tattoo can you shower normally?
Most artists recommend waiting 24 hours before exposing a new tattoo to water. When you shower, use lukewarm water and mild, fragrance-free soap, do not scrub, and pat dry gently. Avoid hot tubs, pools and soaking while it heals.
Q.12
What should I use for tattoo aftercare?
We recommend our own tattoo balm, which balances hydration and protection for healing skin. Avoid petroleum-based products, use fragrance-free gentle soap and lukewarm water, and use SPF 30 or higher once the tattoo is fully healed. Always follow the instructions from your artist.
